Are your stones ethically sourced and/or sustainable?

I opt for lab created stones for my budget pieces (which, most if not all of the crystal points I currently have are manufactured, a small portion of the gemstones are as well). For the remaining stones, I source from rock hunters, not mines, in the US as much as possible. On the occasions I am looking for a stone that's not from around here, I make efforts to find stones from hunters overseas, which is a bit more difficult, so I look for mines that have acceptable working conditions and wages, or I shop secondhand and repurpose already mined materials. As I vet new suppliers, you may find some direct references to specific suppliers here in the future, but for now, most of my materials are recycled or manufactured.

Is lab created/manufactured stone real?

Yes! The term 'imitation' is what you need to avoid if you are searching for 'real' stones. Lab created gems are identical chemically, physically and optically to natural gems. Imitation gems are NOT identical chemically, physically, or optically to natural gems. I use lab created gems, not imitation gems.

Can you make me something custom?

Absolutely! Please reach out through the contact form or email me directly at arilimadeshop@gmail.com to discuss custom work. Most custom items follow a similar pricing model to what I already have listed, with a minimal custom order fee added. I am happy to work with stones you already have, and will take the cost of shipping them to me off of your final order. Alternatively, I can source you a specific stone or setting with a longer timeframe.

Additionally, all of the stainless steel necklaces you will find paired with the pendants I currently offer are constructed by me, so if you would like any different length, I can accommodate that request (for any custom or currently available piece) within a few days. Please note that the sterling silver necklace chains are pre-manufactured and I am unable to modify those, so this applies only to the stainless steel chain material, but any pendant currently on a sterling silver chain can be swapped to stainless steel at your request. 

How long will it take my stuff to get to me?

Please refer to the shipping policy page for timelines and rates. Generally, you should expect your order well before 10 business days have passed. Please note that current events may impact the shipping carriers timelines, which I have no control over. Thank you for your patience.
